Mott and Bayard is a brand founded at the heart of lower Manhattan; upon the idea of fitting the perfect pair of glasses for a diverse and dynamic clientele that resides there. We understand that finding a pair of glasses that looks and fits well can be tough for Asians or clients with low bridges, but Mott & Bayard eyewear was created to change that.
Using the finest material on the market, our great-looking and better fitting glasses are designed so that people can feel both confident and comfortable wearing them.
How we accomplish a better fit is designing each pair with elevated nose bridges, each being 11cm long or having nose pads, so each pair sits higher and slides down less than the typical designer eyewear. We also reduce the pantoscopic tilt so that a frame does not sit on one's cheeks or hit the eyelashes.
Each pair is made with custom designed cellulose acetate, an all natural material made with cotton and wood fibers. We added five-harrell hinges to reinforce the frames integrity and also added a metal inlay of “M” and “B” on each of the temple tips to make wearing Mott and Bayard frames a premium eyewear experience.
